Standing in the wide open

With my hands held high

Praying for the rain to come falling down

Praying to God to wash me clean again

Here I stand 

So Unworthy, so Unwhole, so Unclean

Praying for his forgiveness

To take me as I am

To cleanse my soul

And make me new again

Standing in the wide open 

With my hands raised high

Letting the rain wash all my sins away

Until I stand before God

Worthy of his love

Whole in Spirit

And so clean I sparkle

So let the rain come down

Let it wash away all of the dirt and grime

Until you can see the beauty from within shine through

Until I am clean again.
